Train sim world beta download. We will be happy to help.Thank you. I just had this problem. I had both Google Chrome and the Edge browser open. Disk utilization climbed to 100%, and the computer was so slow as to make it nearly unresponsive to even basic mouse movement. The Edge browser then unexpectedly quit. Themachine returned to it's normal pattern of operation.I opened and watched the Task Manager and reopened the Edge browser again. Ran both browsers. Disk usage again climbed to 100%. I quit the Edge browser. Disk usage gradually fell back to 0%.I can only conclude that the Microsoft Edge browser has a problem on my own, and possibly your computer. Disk usage climbs so high that the computer eventually slows to a crawl and becomes inoperable. It doesn't seem as if using the Edge browser is a goodidea. You may need to use a different browser - Chrome or Firefox. Hi Everyone,I've been dealing with this same issue for months. I've tried all the recommended fixes (i.e.: everything listed here - andeverything listed in this phorum). I spent hours and hours trying to fix the issue and nothing corrected it. I assumed it must be my SSD that's causing the issue and so I ordered a brand new SSD and did a clean install of Win 10 directly from Microsoft.Guess what, it still did NOT correct the issue!!! What a joke!!!! A brand new SSD, plus a clean Windows install with just my core programs (MS Word, Adobe, Chrome, Norton, Malwarebytes, etc.), and the 100% Disk Usage issue will notgo away!!! I cannot figure it out.At this point, I believe the issue is being caused by Chrome b/c that is the program in use on my Dell Desktop PC when the C Drive shoots up to 100% usage and freezes for a period of time. I uninstalled ALL Chrome extensions thinking that may be the problem, and I also cleared all history and cache, but that also does not solve the issue. Chrome gets stuck w/ a 'waiting for cache' message in the bottom bar of the browser, the page doesn't load for a period of time (maybe 10 seconds or more), the C drive getsrammed up to 100% usage, and the PC becomes unusable. Sometime the 100% usage issue lasts 5 or 6 seconds, sometimes it lasts 30 seconds, no rhyme or reason to why it's happening and/or the how long the system gets caught up.I have come to the conclusion that there is NO fix for this issue. It is some glitch in Win 10 in regards to how it interacts w/ Chrome and my specific Dell system. I have a Toshiba laptop w/ Win 10, a SSD, and all the same software, and that machine NEVERhas this problem. It's limited to my Dell OptiPlex 7010 Desktop. If I am missing something here, please let me know. Otherwise, I assume my Desktop will basically be unusable until Win 12 comes out in 2019. Clearly, I am extremely dissatisfied w/ Dell,Microsoft, and Google right now. Not sure who to blame, but I can definitely say that I will NEVER buy a Dell PC again. Pure shiite!-Lando. I work as an IT service tech and I have ran into this problem as well. I have a HP Pro Book 440 G3. The laptop has a core i5 processor and 8 GB of RAM. I did all the suggested fixes from various forums such as these:did not have any luck fixing the problem. Just opening Edge or Google Chrome makes the disk usage spike up to 100% and it will stay there for a period of time. The 100% usage happens all the time after I login and then will die down for a while until Ilaunch an application. There are sometimes when opening an application will make the disk usage spike above 75% which seems odd because its only one application running. No rhyme or reason as to why this happens. Task manager or Resource Monitor does not showany solid information as to why this keeps happening. Looking at other laptops with the same configuration the disk usage should not spike above or near 50%.I also got a new hard drive and only did a fresh install of Windows 10 with all the latest updates. Still got the same behavior. This is certainly a Windows 10 issue as it has been documented though many forums using different manufactures of laptops (Dell,HP, Asus, etc.)Its a shame I have a relatively new laptop that I cannot deploy to users since I am cautious about the performance and having to troubleshoot this for an end user. I hope there will be more attention to this because it has been happening to people for yearsnow. If you’re a Windows user, you might have come across the 100% disk usage problem. High Disk Write Usage By FirefoxAt the time of installing Quantum, I removed my old profile because I saw in another post that there might've been corrupting issues when using the auto updater from 56 to 57. So I did a full uninstall and re-install with a new profile. The issues I got as mentioned in my main post were from both profiles, old and new. I don't have all the informtation in about:support to provide unfortunately and I can't be bothered with the hassle to getting it I'm afraid. So I just downgraded as quick as I could to keep the fluidity of my browser. I will most likely make the transition over again once the teething issues have been ironed out. I can reproduce this issue on thie laptop just by opening simple web pages like google.comNew Firefox instance.open google.com and start typing before the page is fully loadedopen google.com in new tab and start typing before the page is fully loadedopen news.google.com in new tabopen google.com in new and start typing before the page is fully loadedlast tab is now causing 99% CPU usage, making computer(took me two tries to get this issue to show up)completely unusable till the firefox.exe process is killed.
